"Just Waiting"

In about 5 weeks or so you will get to meet Riker Liam! I cannot wait for the arrival of this little guy so I can meet him! His parents are Jason and Amy! We met these two while my husband was playing in an adult baseball league (attempting to be a kid again) and since then Jason has become our Realtor and friend! I have not shot a maternity session in a while so it was a LOT of fun to do something a little different!

Meet the Moore's

A few months ago I had the privilege of taking Mattie's One Year old portraits and photographing her birthday party! Unfortunately her daddy could not be there for her party b/c he was over seas with the military. While he was home for Christmas the Moore's came back to Fredericksburg to visit their family!

So......we did FAMILY PORTRAITS at Annabelle's grandmother's house! It was so beautiful!! All of these portraits were shot with the EF 24-70, 2.8 lens! They are all shot in Natural light with my reflector.

This Angel picture was shot at ISO of 1600, F-stop of 2.8, Shutter speed of 1/60 sec and at a 60mm range.

This was shot in the sitting room at the front of her house. We opened all the blinds and turned on the over head light. I did not use a flash in any of these photos!

Tea Cup Pot

Someone asked me where I got the tea cup pot that the baby girl is sitting in. I should have given you that info before, but I got it at Wal Mart.....of all places! They have several different ones and they are in the gardening section! They are actually Flower Pots! I just bought one that is similar to the bottom one, but instead of stripes it's polka dots!! SO CUTE!

Meet the Danks Family

I had the opportunity to take family portraits for our music minister and his family after Christmas. I think this was the first time they had all been together in Kerrville since Larry and Mary Pat moved here a few years ago from Missouri! I was so thankful that they asked me to do this! As I have said before, I would much prefer to come to you and take your portraits! Lucky for me Larry and Mary Pat live just down the street from us! They have the perfect spot in their backyard and the lighting was great!

I used the 85 mm lens for most of these portraits. When I am outdoors I almost ALWAYS set my ISO to 200 or less. When I am shooting 4 or more people I will set my F-stop (see vocabulary lessons) to at least 4.0 and usually higher with more than 4 people so I can make sure and get EVERYONE in focus!

When I shoot 3 people or less I tend to put my F-stop at 4.0 or less! The less people in the portrait the lower my F-stop. I LOVE when I can blur out most of the background and REALLY focus on my subject!

VALENTINE's DAY!

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it! Call anytime during the month of January and schedule your child's Valentine's Portrait!

Portraits will all be taken on a WHITE backdrop, so bring your kids in bright colors (see below...turquoise, red, pink, bright green or even purple)! I will also have a selection of different colored poofs for the girls, and two pairs of angel wings: BROWN FOR BOYS and PINK for girls!

The $35 session fee includes a complimentary digital image of your Valentine sent via email. Add $5 for each additional child.

Once you receive the image you can download one of the templates posted in the 'FREEBIES' section of this blog to create a personalized Valentine.

These templates are sized to a 4x6 image! You can print them in bulk and send them to school as your child's VALENTINE!!! I would recommend printing at www.mpix.com but you can also print locally at HEB or online through Kodak Gallery or Shutterfly or anywhere else you choose!
