 I have not shot an engagement session in about a year now. 

It was fun and something different for a change. 

This couple got engaged a few weeks ago and are going to be married in the Caribbean!

If I had it to do all over again I would DEFINITELY do a destination wedding. 

 We shot these out at Camp Verde. 

It is so beautiful out there.

Since mid November I have photographed NINE, that's right NINE newborn sessions. And you won't believe this, but they have ALL been newborn boys! It's totally awesome. The challenge was coming up with something different for each session. Boys are hard. There aren't the cute frilly tutus, or big flower bows, or socks that look like Mary Jane's. I had a blast photographing EVERY single one! It's funny how after a while they almost all start to look alike! 3 of these boys will be in Libby's Sunday School class at church, along with 2 others (not listed here) that are BOYS as well. She is the ONLY girl so far!!

I shot McKade the day before I was due to have Libby. He was the sweetest little thing. It was not easy getting up and down off the floor, but EVERY shot was worth it!

A few weeks ago I did a mini Engagement session with this cute couple from Austin Texas. They were in Kerrville for their nephew's FIRST birthday party and called me for a Save the Date session!!

I definitely would have loved to spend more time with them, but they were on a pretty tight schedule!!

Meet Stetson

This little man came to my studio a couple of weeks ago and I just think he is the cutest little thing! Thank you Misty for bringing your nephew in!! I am sorry the "Surprise" didn't work out, but I hope you enjoy!! His mom said it was nap time, but you never would have known! He just smiled his little heart out!

"Just Waiting"

In about 5 weeks or so you will get to meet Riker Liam! I cannot wait for the arrival of this little guy so I can meet him! His parents are Jason and Amy! We met these two while my husband was playing in an adult baseball league (attempting to be a kid again) and since then Jason has become our Realtor and friend! I have not shot a maternity session in a while so it was a LOT of fun to do something a little different!

Recent Photo Shoots

In case you don't know this about me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE going to people's houses to take their portraits! First of all it is very personal to them and NO ONE else will have the same "backdrop" if you will. I get to use ALL NATURAL LIGHT...which is so beautiful!

This week I got to do TWO portrait sessions like this! Both of them in Fredericksburg and both of them referred by my friend Rebekah...who by the way...owns a WONDERFUL children's boutique called Beulah's. Thanks Rebekah!

This first session was a newborn session with baby Cash! It was so sweet and he did great! Thanks you guys! It was so great to meet you!

This second session was with an almost ONE YEAR OLD! Actually I think she is one now that I am posting this! Her name is Willa ( I am not sure of the spelling so please forgive me). She was just precious! When I got to the house she was still sleeping, so mom gave me a tour of the house and the backyard so we could decide where to do portraits. We went in to look at the baby's room and when she woke up...she reached her arms out for me to pick her up out of the crib! That MADE MY DAY!! So sweet!!! Cassell also owns a boutique in Fredericksburg called Root!
